Who We Are
Plaster Concepts, Inc. (PCI) began producing glass reinforced gypsum (GRG) for interior applications in mid 1988. PCI began producing glass fiber reinforced cement (GRC) for exterior applications in early 1989. By Jan 2010, we had successfully completed 4000 projects throughout the eastern half of the US.
Our corporate offices and our manufacturing facility are located in the metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. The owners and management of Plaster Concepts are professionals experienced in the marketing, manufacturing, and shipping of construction products. We were formed to service the cast plaster needs of designers, contractors, and owners.
What We Have To Offer
Contained within our Lithonia, Georgia manufacturing facility are 60,000 square feet of production areas, an extensive mold and model shop, and virtually unlimited space for mold storage. Our in-house craftsmen and carefully chosen outside vendors give us the expertise to produce patterns from wood, plaster, epoxies, fiberglass and rubber. Most orders will be shipped on Plaster Concepts trucks.
The plaster Concepts technical staff is available to assist with detailing, specifications and pricing. Samples are available upon request. Shop drawings are always included in our price. Plaster Concepts' factory technicians are available for job site consultations.
Our Product
The lack of skilled plasterers and artists combined with the popularity of detail and ornamentation has created a demand for factory cast plaster products.
GRG is used for column covers and capitals, pilasters, light coves and troughs, cornices, domes, barrel vaults, ceiling coffers and clouds, and medallions. Restoration and reproduction is a rapidly expanding application for the product. For exterior applications, PCI produces glass-fiber reinforced cement (GRC). GRC pieces have a smooth, hard finish suitable for field priming and painting. GRC is most commonly used for column covers / capitals / bases, cornice and medallions.
